The Current is a segment of our gathering every Tuesday night that features ministry opportunities, missions updates, or personal testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives, our church, our community and in the world around us. Our vision in C4 is to drink deep of Christ and flow to others from communities to continents. We use The Current to celebrate the ways in which those in our ministry are flowing and to provide the necessary avenues for others to do likewise.
We seek to make The Current informative, encouraging and challenging so that we can move from ignorance or passivity to action. Being active could mean knowing how to pray more specifically. It could mean serving with third graders on Sunday mornings. It could mean going to the Middle East to share the love of Christ with the least reached. It will look different for all of us, but we want Drink and Flow to be a way of life, and not just a cool slogan we wear on our t-shirts.
If you have any suggestions for future installments of The Current, or how to make it more effective, please contact Timmy J at tjhoiland@hotmail.com.
As we seek to develop a culture of missions within the C4 ministry, we wholeheartedly recommend Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, a 15-week course offered locally, usually every fall and spring. Many of us have already taken the course and some are now preparing for overseas ministry.
Perspectives will help you understand God's plan for our world — and for your life — as you explore the Biblical, historical, strategic and cultural aspects of what it really means to be serious about the Great Commission. This course is for everyone, whether you are interested in serving overseas or not, since we all have a part to play in missions. You can take the course for undergraduate or graduate credit, or for a certificate.

Operation World is all about prayer. With a daily spotlight on a particular country, the information you find will help you pray more specifically for the peoples of the world, many of whom have never heard the name of Jesus. The website also offers updates from countries currently in the news, and links to other prayer resources.
Operation World is also available in book form, under the same title, and written by Patrick Johnstone.
