Kathy Noel, Director of Elementary Ministries
Kathy Noel is the Director of Elementary Ministries at Calvary Church where she has served since the summer of 2003. Prior to coming to Lancaster, Kathy served as the Director of Children’s Ministries at North Chester Baptist Church in Chester, PA for 13 years. Kathy also taught 2nd grade in both public and Christian schools for 8 years prior to the birth of her children.
Kathy grew up in Canada where she earned her BA in French from Wilfrid Laurier University, and her Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario. She earned the TCE (Teaching Children Effectively) certificate from CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship), and has enjoyed training individuals and teams through various children’s ministry workshops both in North America and overseas. Kathy was on the Global Children’s Ministry Task Force for BCM International, and was one of the editors of BCM’s teacher training curriculum, “In Step With the Master Teacher.”
Kathy met her husband, John (a Pennsylvania native), on a short-term missions trip to France in the summer of 1984, and they were married in 1987. They have two great teenage boys, Matthew and Grant.
