This year at Next Level was so amazing! I grew so much spiritually. I learned how to live my life for Christ and surrender everything I am. I traveled with Mr. Derus in Union Square Park and experienced his gift of evangelism. Watching him helped me gain confidence in sharing as well and helped me to just feel more comfortable sharing my faith in Christ. We did VBS this year and I had amazing time hanging out with the kids and showing them the love of God. Please pray that the team and I would not stop sharing our faith now that we are home. Pray that we have courage and that God will continue to work in our lives as we strive to live with the purpose of honor and glorifying God.

This was my first experience in the Next Level trip. I had been to the NYGO trip but this was entirely different and a great challenge. Instead of staying in apartments we slept in the church and served there. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was the Concert of Prayer, which was a great time of worship and also praying. That night I really learned to put my trust in the Lord. I also witnessed someone coming to Christ with Mr. Derus. That was incredible! I loved working with the kids and grew relationships with some of them. One girl gave me her necklace and I will remember her. She also thought I was Spiderman. This trip was awesome and I am looking forward to see what else the Lord has in store for my life.

I loved this trip. Last year I had the privilege of being taught by Mr. Derus, but this year I evangelized and discovered the many questions that people have that I can’t answer. It encouraged me to study the bible so I have an answer for anyone who asks about the hope that is in me. We also got taught by Hondo! a former commander of the N.Y.C Swat team. He taught us to sharpen each other as it says in Ecclesiastes 4. I look forward to what God will do in my life.
This NYGO experience was amazing. I had a lot of fun, plus I got a much better picture of God’s Greatness. One of my biggest highlights of the trip was the concert of prayer. It isn’t often where you just pray for 2 ½ hours straight, and the experience was awesome, you could really see God working in your friend’s lives, and I could feel it in my own life also. I made new commitments and I pray that I can stick to them, and not forget the reason I made them.

On this trip, my faith was really tested and I was so stretched in my spiritual walk with the Lord. Every day I needed to ask God to give me strength so I could make it through. Even though it was tiring, I had a lot of fun and the team got along really well. I learned to be thankful for what I have because I have so much more than a lot of other people. I also learned to not judge people because God created all of us in a certain way and he loves everybody. God challenged me because I didn’t have all the comforts from home that I’m used to and he taught me to not be so selfish. God took me out of my comfort zone and caused me to trust him with everything.

This year at the end of the trip we got rings that had the reference of 1 cor. 6:19 on it and on the outside of the band it said I am not my own in Greek. The ring is a commitment to Christ and reminds us to live for him because we are not our own and we belong to Christ. I thought that it was very cool to know that we belong to Him and when we belong to something, we will never part with it.

Well, here I am on the bus on
the way home. I can safely say
that this trip was not what I expected.
In a good way I guess. From
the moment we walked into Manhattan Bible Church, Walter had us going; on the
subway, walking around the city, always doing one thing or another. It was testing, and stretching, not
knowing what was going to happen next.
It was a good way to learn to rely on God for everything. Other things this trip has taught
me is that God will supply our needs, and give us patience and endurance to
continue on for Him.

The NYGO trip this year was
awesome. I went on NYGO last year when we stayed in hotels and had a conference
that took up half the time. This year was an incredible mission experience with
a similar atmosphere to the Philly trip with the close quarters and a VBS. But
it was totally different in that we were forced to be flexible and put
ourselves outside of our comfort zones. We ever knew what to expect, as the
plans would change at a moments notice. What we thought would happen the next
day would be totally different than what actually happened. The entire week was
stretching and tiring, physically and mentally, and forced us to rely totally
on God for strength and brain cells. The main memory I will take away from this
experience is of the concert of prayer Tuesday. It is incredible to see how God
can break us and then use us for Him.

Anything I would say has already
been said, in some cases way better then I could ever express, so I won’t go on
and on. As this is the first time I’ve ever been on a missions trip in NY City
almost everything was new for me. I learned a lot from those who took the time
to speak to us. I met new people, ate new food, and had a fun and challenging
time. I hope that the lessons I learned on this trip will stay with me for the
rest of my life.
This trip has been amazing so far! The schedule has been crazy but yet at the same time a lot of fun. The kids clubs are going well and I am really excited to do the kids clubs tomorrow with my group. We took care bags to the homeless in parks yesterday. It was a challenge for me and some other people to go up and talk to these people. It is not easy to talk to them because some of them don’t want to talk. I just ask you to continue to pray for the kids clubs and for the kids that are participating in them, and for the people in the park that we talk to.

The trip is going great! The schedule has been really busy – and exciting at the same time! I am so tired, but God has helped me to trust Him through this. The kids club went GREAT yesterday! The kids were amazing and it was a lot of fun. Today we are out in the parks talking to people, and so far it has been pretty difficult. Just pray that God would prepare the hearts of the people that we will talk to, and He would prepare our hearts to talk to them, and also that I would trust that God will give me the words to say.

I have had such an amazing time on this missions trip. There is a lot of walking and a lot of people. I really enjoyed talking to the homeless people and giving them bags and then being able to hear their stories of how they ended up on the streets. I also really enjoyed the VBS the kids were so cool and they loved having your attention. I am having such a great time and I am so glad God has been working through me.

The NYGO missions experience, has been a very interesting trip (to say the least). We have sampled tons of new dishes and styles of food in four days than I have had in my whole life. The coolest part of the week is the people, people from all different backrounds and faiths, all being reached for the greater glory of God. I had the opportunity to talk to and to pray for a homeless man named Gregory, he was so receptive to what we said. I can only hope and pray that the seed we planted will grow and blossom into a full relationship with Jesus Christ. This is just a little bit of our trip. I have a lot more to say. Over and out.

This New York experience has been a lot of fun and very challenging. Many of us are exhausted, but the Lord keeps giving us energy to show his love to the people of New York. I have seen many different cultures and people. I had a chance to talk to a lady from Korea who has only been in the States for a month. The lady’s name was Liz and she was very interested in finding a church nearby. As we prepare for our last day I pray that we will have strength and energy to serve the Lord. There are many more stories about our experiences and I’m sure we will share many of them with you when we return!

For me NYC has been an experience I’ll never forget. With this being my first missions trip, it certainly has been very challenging but also such a blessing as well as a great learning experience. I’m so glad that the team has been growing closer with each day. The highlights so far for me were running the VBS with the kids in the church’s community, and being able to talk to a German scientist named Stephen. The kids were such a blast to be around and everything went really well (with God’s help of course :D) So much has happened and there is still a lot to come. But until then, keep praying for the team, the people that we encounter, and the Manhattan Bible Church. Peace out boy scouts :D
