It is our desire to partner with you in discipling your teenager.
In order for that to happen, communication is key!
We have a number of avenues for you to stay connected:
WEEKLY PARENT EMAILS
Every week we send out a Parent News email on Friday mornings highlighting events, teaching series overviews and other information for parents. If you do not receive this email, you can sign up on the right hand side of this page or contact Jen Gregory or Tammy McDaniel to get on the mailing list. Click here to subscribe.
PARENT MEETING (August 27, 2017)
At the beginning of the ministry year (end of August), come and learn more about Calvary Student Ministry's vision and values, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities, as well as meet the CSM Staff. If you missed this meeting, make sure to check our weekly parent email for any missed information, or contact any of the CSM Staff with questions.

Parent Volunteers are vital to our ministry at CSM! By volunteering with us periodically this year, you will be living out 2 of Calvary Church’s Values as you GROW with God’s People and INVEST in God’s Work… not to mention see what your student is up to! If you have any interest in investing in CSM as a Parent Volunteer or have any questions about any of these serving opportunities, please contact Tammy McDaniel. Thank you!
LEAD MEETING CHILD CARE TEAM
Please consider serving our leaders by helping watch their kids during our 4 leader meetings during the year! We also ask students to volunteer to help watch children, but need at least one adult present. This volunteer role requires clearances. LEAD Meeting Dates: September 6, November 5, January 7, March 18 and May 9.
LEAD MEETING HOSPITALITY TEAM
We would like to show our Student Group Leaders how much we appreciate them by providing a light snack before their LEAD Meetings. Serving this way would allow you to see your student’s leaders face-to-face as you serve them and show your appreciation for all the time they put into our students. LEAD Meeting Dates: September 6, November 5, January 7, March 18 and May 9.
ADMINISTRATIVE HELP TEAM (WED PM)
On Wednesday nights, we utilize teams of two parents to help at the Connection Window alongside of Tammy. This is a time of interacting with students and getting them connected to groups, running errands and helping with simple office tasks. This is a low key and easy way to serve that allows you to see the great things happening on Wednesday Nights. We would like to have 2-3 teams that serve 2 weeks in a row, then have a few weeks off.
CONNECTION EVENTS TEAM
Throughout the year we will have several fun Connection Events for our students, including our Kick-off Events at the beginning of the year. With the number of students involved in our ministry, we need more adults present to make sure our students are safe as they grow together. This is another low-key way to interact with other parents and students and see what is going on in our ministry!
BIG EVENTS REGISTRATION TEAM
Fusion and the Winter Retreat are two big events during the year that require many hands to process students and paperwork. We need your help to do this efficiently! These events require teams of 10-15 parents.
WINTER RETREAT PARENT TEAM
Every year at the Winter Retreat, we utilize approximately 40 parents to come along for the weekend to help serve our 400+ students and leaders by cooking, washing dishes and serving tables during meals. This requires some physical lifting and many hours on your feet. It is a fun and encouraging weekend to meet other parents as you serve alongside them, see your student growing and having fun and sometimes sit in for parts of the teaching and worship times at the Winter Retreat.
We are here to serve you, so please don't hesitate to
contact us with any questions or concerns.
