Day 23 | Finding Peace

by on December 23, 2019

Finding Peace (John 14:27)
by Kim Jack

Peace; a word that is used quite often at Christmas. It’s on cards, signs, and ornaments.  Yet, when I think of Christmas, the words that often come to my mind are far from peaceful. They are words like busyness, chaos, and exhaustion.  Please don’t get me wrong… our family loves to engage in many Christmas activities in the month of December. Tree trimming, Christmas movie watching, caroling, and cookie baking are just a few of the things that keep us busy.

All of those activities are good and fun to share with others. But you may ask, where is the peace in all of that? Where is the peace that Christmas signs and cards speak of?

John 14:27 says “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you.” In the midst of our craziness and chaos, Jesus is our peace. His peace is constant, unwavering, and available to anyone who puts their faith and trust in Jesus as their Savior. This year, no matter how chaotic your Christmas season is, may you know the eternal peace that only comes from Jesus.
