If you missed church in May, odds are you missed something significant. This month's installment of Calvary in 60 highlights the GO Beyond events, Mother's Day 2019, Baptisms in May, and our Monday Night Service.
The beginning of the month was full of events as we partnered with local organizations (primarily GO Beyond) to assist with the National Day of Prayer, Citywide Cleanup, and Meal-Packing event, which took place in our Fellowship hall. Our Calvary family and surrounding community stepped up in a big way for this last event as individuals and families came together to pack over 60,000 meals for those in need around the world! On May 12 and 13 we were excited to celebrate all of our amazing mothers by creating photo op stations around the lobby and fellowship hall. A good number of Calvary families took advantage of the opportunity and posted their pictures to instagram using our designated Mother’s Day hashtag.
The month of May was bookended with Baptisms as we had the joy of witnessing five individuals take the next step in their walk with God and publicly proclaim their faith in Christ. Finally, we wrapped up May with a pre-service cookout on Memorial day before our Monday Night service.
