David Harrop has been identified by our elders as our next Pastor of Global Ministry! David, and his wife Mary, partnered in overseas ministries for eighteen years before serving 6 years as the Missions Pastor at Westover Church in Greensboro, NC. His overseas ministry included church planting in France and serving in international pastorates in Germany and North Africa. His primary role at Westover was shepherding and administering the needs of more than 250 missionaries.

He has degrees in Biblical studies and intercultural studies/missions from Trinity International University and Columbia International University and is a candidate for his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. David loves teaching the Bible and has been privileged to teach God’s Word on five continents. He is also an avid runner (a marathon in each of the past four decades) and loves to read. God has blessed Mary and David with two daughters, one son-in-law, and a granddaughter. David is eagerly looking forward to being a part of how God is at work in the world through the ministry of Calvary Church. He and Mary also look forward to reconnecting with friends in the Lancaster area as they lived here 1 year while David served as a Missionary in Residence at Lancaster Bible College in 2012.

Life Verse: 1 Timothy 1:12 "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me faithful, appointing me to His service."

"My Passions:"

• My own spiritual formation: I want to be growing consistently in my life with God.
• Prayer: I want to live a life of prayerful reliance on God in everything I do.
• The Great Commission: I want to live my life so that all people may know Christ.
• Challenging and equipping God’s people for all ministries, particularly in reaching the lost.
• Future generations so that by the example of my life they might learn to love God and serve Him.
• Teamwork and the synergy created which makes a team greater than the sum of its members.
• Family: their spiritual, physical, and emotional care. My wife and daughters are gifts from God.
• Teaching God’s Word: seeking especially to bring personal application first to myself and then to others.
