Proverbs: Wise Up, and Live!
Have you ever wondered how you should live in a world full of uncertainty, chaos, and corruption? The book of Proverbs seeks to answer this question for us. It speaks of applying vertical wisdom to horizontal living.

As part of a church-wide coordinated study, we will be challenged, through our study in the book of Proverbs, to learn how to gain wisdom and live wisely from God’s perspective.

The central focus or principle we will find in Proverbs is how our inner character, rightly aligned with God, produces a consistent outward expression which benefits us individually, and others collectively.

Key themes we will explore:
– How are we to relate to others, to money, to time, to work, to children, to God?
– How should developing wisdom impact our words, decision making, purity, parenting, and friendships?

Our approach to the study of Proverbs will allow us to soak deeply in one topic each week. Through observation, understanding, and application we will challenge ourselves to seek to Wise Up, and Live!

Childcare
– If you have children who will be in Kids ministry, please remember to register them.
– Some men who have participated before may want to serve other men by caring for their children

Method: You will be better equipped to study the Bible for yourself by learning the basics of inductive Bible study—learning to see what is in the biblical text and ask questions.

Message: You will understand the priority and interconnectedness of sound doctrine and godly living to the daily challenges of being a godly man.

Approach:

  • The study will be taught in an interactive and inductive Bible study manner—not just a rehearsal of facts, but getting closer to God by understanding more of what He has done for us in Christ.
  • Not a debate, but a discovery. Your ability to know God more personally will grow as your personal Bible study skills grow

Led by Pastor Steve Kilgore and a team of teachers.
