Discover Calvary
Take a closer look at Calvary Church! Our staff will discuss some of our driving principles that will give you insight into who we are, where we’re going, and how we all fit together. Discover Calvary takes place every third Sunday of the month at 9:30am.
Begin at Starting Point
Everything has a starting point—life, relationships, education, career.
But sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. By the time we’re adults, most of us have made up our minds about faith. But the faith we form or inherit when we’re young doesn’t always stand up to the pressures of life.
What if it were possible to explore faith freely and ask the questions we all have? What if it were possible to wipe the slate clean and work together to find a new starting point for faith?
If you’re new to faith, just checking it out, or coming back to church after some time away, Starting Point is a great first step. This eight-week small group happens multiple times a year. Sign up below to see when the next group begins, or simply tell us you are interested, and someone will be in contact with you soon!

Essentials
Interested in learning more about how to read your Bible, understanding what it says, why it’s important, and what to do with it? Essentials is a conversational small group that will give you tools for a lifetime of pursuing life in Christ. We will journey through God’s Word with weekly discussion, based on a selection of assigned readings. Journey alongside others as you take this next step to grow in your faith together!
Essentials is divided into four units:
- I: God’s Big Story
- II: God & Man’s Plan
- III. God Becomes Flesh (Begins March 16 at 11:00am)
- IV. God’s Eternal Reward (Begins March 16 at 9:30am)

Grow at Calvary
Small Groups
We need more than friends! We need individuals who intentionally help us to grow—those who speak truth into our lives, and others into whose lives we can speak. This is the way God created us. In fact, this is how God created the body of Christ to function. We want to help you cultivate those kinds of relationships…the kind that will help you take another step as you pursue life in Christ.

Adult Bible Fellowships
An Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) is a learning environment that provides you with an opportunity to live God’s Word by “learning what it means and doing what it says” within a small, relational setting at Calvary Church. In fact, ABFs are a great way live out several of Calvary’s vision and values.
ABFs meet at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00am every Sunday. They vary in age group and format but all share a focus on providing their members with a chance to grow with God’s people as they pursue life in Christ together.

“Adult” Identifies Audience
ABFs are designed to meet the needs of adults (18 and up). Many ABFs are grouped by “stage of life,” from college up to senior adults, but we also have ABFs that are intergenerational (spanning three or more decades of life) or address specific needs within our church body.
“Bible” Identifies Content
The Bible functions as the primary source and center of ABFs. Faith and practice are tested by their correspondence with Scripture, therefore we will attempt to have a balanced, holistic, and practical study of God’s Word. With Scripture as our centerpiece, we can disciple one another to be “doers of the word and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)
“Fellowship” Identifies Atmosphere
We want Calvary to be the smallest, big church around. This starts in the ABF, where we seek to build spiritual families that care for one another, and where individuals can begin to develop relationships and take steps in their spiritual journey.
Men’s Bible Study
Our Men’s Bible Study helps men pursue life in Christ, equipping them to be disciple-makers in their home, neighborhood, workplace, and church, by learning how to study God’s Word inductively and personally, seeking knowledge of the truth for the purpose of godliness.

Women’s Ministry
Women’s Ministry exists to engage women as they pursue life in Christ through equipping them to study God’s Word, cultivating relationships that lead to growth, and encouraging others as we encounter God.

Support Groups
We desire to help you face the challenges of life with real and practical assistance, education, and support. Our support groups provide a unique form of care through a loving community of individuals who share in each other’s experience. We create a safe environment for you to share your story and receive the help you need for healing, restoration, and growth. It is our hope that, as you encounter God’s truth, you will develop a new perspective on your situation, yourself and God.
