Fall 2020 | Everyday Living in Light of His Coming
A Study of 1 Thessalonians

"May He establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus..." - Thessalonians 3:13 (ESV)
The good news of Christ first came to the Thessalonians through the apostle Paul and his ministry team. Though they ministered there for only a short time, the gospel was wholeheartedly embraced and authentically lived out — even amid difficult circumstances. Our everyday life is so similar to those times, that the encouragements and instructions in  Paul’s letter are also fresh and relevant for us today. First Thessalonians is a warm and personal book, laced with repeated reminders of the Lord’s return. This provides a compelling motivation for true disciples to live our everyday lives in light of His coming: doing ministry, facing opposition, standing fast, living holy, encouraging one another, pleasing God.
