Calvary Care

Calvary Care is a ministry of the Deacons and Benevolence Committee of Calvary Church. It consists of a Food Pantry and Clothing Bank for use by those qualifying through the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and/or Calvary's Benevolence Committee qualifications and requires the completion of financial information. Along with our congregation, food is both purchased and donated through the Central PA Food Bank, Blessing of Hope, and other local businesses who support Calvary Care's mission.

Calvary Care is open on Wednesday from 2:00 - 6:00pm and Thursday from 9:00 - 10:45am.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…naked, and you clothed me." Matthew 25:35-36

Calvary Care Direct Supporters

This group supports Calvary Care’s specific product needs! By completing this form you will occasionally be emailed about products that are in short supply at the food or clothing bank. If you are able, after receiving an email from Calvary Care, you purchase the designated item then bring it to church the following Sunday and deposit it into the designated receptacle at the East and West Connection Centers.

Get Involved

From time to time we have people ask, “How can I support Calvary Care?”

Since Calvary Care is supported through Benevolence, you can give to the Benevolence Fund. Others would like to support by giving products that are needed in the Center. You can do either or both! Direct donations will need to be screened by Calvary Care Volunteers, but you can sign up to provide food or clothes as needed by joining our Direct Supporters group HERE. Some ask “Can I volunteer?”—of course you can! Volunteer jobs exist from stocking shelves to working the check-in desk. Just click below in the area that interests you.

Sometimes people need extra help. You can be the one that leads them to resources that can make a difference in their life! Complete the form below and a Calvary Church representative will connect them with available options.

Volunteer

Volunteering at the Center generally requires the ability to physically lift and move items about the Center. We have positions that include early Wednesday morning setup and restocking, shopping volunteers, front desk check-in duties (minor computer skills required), special events setup and packing, clothing sorters and organizers, and one-time volunteer substitutes.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please complete the form below and select Congregation Care. Someone from Calvary Care will be in contact with you.
