In the last five years, we’ve seen an increased reliance on digital platforms within the Church.

At Calvary, over 100,000 people access our website every year—whether to watch a service, view the bulletin, sign up for an event, or just to check out who we are.

Research shows that most people will watch a church service online before they ever step foot into that church’s building. We also know that 70% of those people are accessing church on a mobile device. What does this mean? For many exploring Calvary Church, their very first impression of us is our mobile website.

This reality isn’t necessarily negative. But, simply put: Our old website was not designed for majority mobile use.

As we began exploring ways to solve this problem, we discovered that we had a few other challenges that required our attention. Our main brand colors were difficult to read for those who are visually impaired. When we scaled down our logo, it was hard to recognize. And, maybe most importantly, we began to consider whether our brand accurately represented who we are as Calvary Church.

So, we worked together with our web developers to create a website that addresses all of these challenges.

Our refreshed colors, while still majorly green and blue, provide more contrast for better legibility. Our new logo easily scales down for mobile use. And we feel that, overall, the elements that comprise our updated brand authentically represent who we are: a church comprised of many generations seeking to pursue life in Christ together, rooted in the values of our founders and dedicated to the continued advancement of God’s Kingdom.

So, why did we redesign our website, and ultimately, our brand? To make it more accessible so more people can come face to face with the love of the Savior. We hope you love it as much as we do. And we look forward to the ways we’ll be able to use it to impact lives for Christ for years to come.
