Highlights

  • Storm Update: Calvary Kids Returns! We’re so excited to welcome Early Childhood kids (Beginners, Changers, and Pre-K) back to their classrooms next Sunday, August 2. Then, on August 23, all Calvary Kids classes will resume with promotion to new grades. More details coming soon!
  • Calvary Care Backpack Drive: For those participating, don’t forget to return your filled backpack with the tag attached to a Connection Center by August 2.
  • Intro to Essentials: The Bible can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? Join us on August 9 & 16 at 9:30am for Introduction to Essentials. In just two one-hour sessions, you’ll discover the big picture of the Bible, understand how the Old and New Testaments fit together, and learn simple ways to make reading Scripture a meaningful part of your life. No prior Bible knowledge required—just curiosity. Sign up.
  • Checkpoints help our Calvary Kids environments stay safe and secure. Guest Services is looking for Checkpoint volunteers on Sundays during the 9:30 and 11:00am services. This is a great way to interact with families while ensuring only authorized personnel have access to kids’ areas. More information.
  • East Asia Short-Term Team: We still have open spots on our short-term ministry team heading to East Asia in October. If you’re interested in serving alongside long-term workers who do life with an oral-preference mountain people group, email Meagan Landis
  • The following Elder and Deacon nominees will be presented for approval during the August 26 Annual Meeting, for three-year terms beginning January 1, 2027: Rick Grunden and Pat Paredes (New Elders), Cliff Hurter & Mike Smucker (Continuing Elders), Nathan Isaac and David Marshall (New Deacons), Jeff Ibach and Pam Shellenberger (Continuing Deacons). Read their bios here.
  • Constitution Update: Proposed revisions to the Calvary Church Constitution are available at Connection Centers. These revisions are intended to provide greater clarity, simplify certain areas of governance, strengthen our biblical structure, and position Calvary well for future ministry. Please email the elders with any questions, comments, or feedback.
