In our very first Calvary in 60 installment, we recapped the events of April 2019. The three items we highlighted were LiveSent 2019, GO Weekend, and our most recent series - Justified. A major theme of this month was LiveSent 2019, during which our Global Ministries team challenged us to get involved in global and local missions through the avenues of Praying, Serving, and Giving. From LiveSent, we transitioned in the video to GO Weekend. This weekend of service projects was Student Ministry's final event before the summer, through which our students had a chance to go out into their communities to serve their neighbors. Finally, we highlighted our Easter Series, Justified. This three-week series spanned from Palm Sunday to the week after Easter and emphasized what it looks like to be and live Justified. As with any of our series, the Justified messages can be found on our mobile app, YouTube channel, or website (click below). We hope you will join us again next week as we return to our Resolute series and hear about why serving is something that should be foundational to the Christian walk!
Bonus Stories
Calvary Care
During the month of April, Calvary Care was hard at work collecting "gently-used clothing" from members of Calvary and our surrounding community. Thanks to the generosity of so many, in just three weeks of April at least 60 individuals and their families received clothes and items from our clothing bank!
Pursuing Life in Christ
Earlier in the month, we took a week to pause as a church body and corporately celebrate God's faithfulness over the years as we looked ahead toward exciting things coming up in the future. Two such items are an upcoming Fellowship Hall remodel (start date TBD) and a Sunday morning service time change (9:00am starting June 9). Additionally, we announced the start of a recurring informative email called Life@Calvary.
