The Tapestry Ministry exists to serve children and families by encouraging and equipping them for foster, adoption, respite care, and mentoring. Tapestry is here to connect interested families with services, supports, and reputable agencies, and to encourage families along the way.

Tapestry Group

As foster/adoptive parents, we face challenges and joys that are often different from traditional parents, which can make participation in group discussions difficult. We desire to create a safe atmosphere to grow closer to the Lord, encourage each other, and gain some practical skills for this unique full-time ministry. You are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 from September 8 to December 8. Please contact Kristi Weaver to register for the class.

It will be important to register your children also, ages birth through Kindergarten, at this link calvarychurch.org/discoveryclubs. Please note availability is based on volunteers. The criteria for prioritizing children being assigned to a classroom is based on both parents either serving or attending a ministry on Wednesday nights or if one parent is working and cannot be home with your children. You will receive confirmation from Karen Spruill concerning your child’s enrollment. If you have children with special needs, please let Kristi know so that we can see if we can provide 1:1.

100 Children: Calvary's Caring Initiative

Calvary Church wants to model the love of Christ to 100 at-risk children, youth, and their families in our own community and around the world through:

Care Communities

Care communities consist of 5-8 people caring for families that are fostering or adopting through Tapestry Ministry. Families who have a care community around them are encouraged, supported, and cared for in a variety of ways.
