The month of September at Calvary Church included the start-up of our weekday ministries, a series on Loving God and Loving Others, the giving of an annual award, and the introduction to our next big series!
The month of September brought with it the start-up of our weekday ministries, which are now back in full-swing! There are opportunities available for all ages, so if you would like to get involved in any of these areas, visit the Ministries tab on our website to find more info!
Loving God, Loving Others was our two-week series in mid-September. Pastors Scott and Beau encouraged us to live out “the greatest commandment” and love God…BY…loving Others. …We also learned some practical ways to live out that concept in our own neighborhoods.
On Sunday, September 22 our annual award called “The Order of the Towel” – a recognition of a lifetime of service – was presented to long-time member Gil Gregory. Gil…as well as some others…were able to reflect on his many years serving at Calvary in a video we showed during the service. Finally, we wrapped up the month of September by kicking off our next big series – Follow Me! This series will take us through the Gospel of Mark and show us what it truly means to Follow Jesus.
